Job summary

GE Grid Solutions, LLC is seeking a senior procurement professional in Markham, Ontario to lead project-based sourcing and supplier management. The role drives on-time delivery, cost-out strategies, and quality improvements across geographically diverse sites.

The candidate will optimize purchasing processes, manage RFQs and POs, and collaborate closely with Project Sourcing Leads to enable successful project execution and reporting.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• 5+ years of professional procurement experience.
• 5+ years of SAP purchasing systems experience; advanced Excel, Tableau, Power Query, and Access skills.
• Experience in KPI tracking, spend analysis and supplier performance monitoring.
• English language proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities aligned with project execution plans and supplier lead times to meet project schedule commitments.
• Communicate procurement status regularly to project and leadership teams.
• Manage supplier records and collect required supplier documentation.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders, including change orders and invoice resolution.
• Coordinate weekly monitoring of supplier progress and expedite deliveries, escalating issues as needed.
• Lead RFQ submissions, follow-ups, and negotiations to achieve cost-out objectives.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure contracts are uploaded to the Oracle Contracts Database.
• Escalate supplier quality issues and recover costs related to non-conformances.
• Ensure procurement data and delivery forecasts are reflected in reporting tools.
• Drive on-time delivery performance and proactively manage risks.

Job Description Summary

Key member of a dynamic and growing projects team. Procure and manage Supply Chain of goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving commercial advantage through the achievement of each project’s delivery schedule, cost, and quality goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities aligned with project execution plans and supplier lead times to meet project schedule commitments.
• Communicate procurement status regularly to project and leadership teams.
• Manage supplier record additions/modifications in purchasing systems, including the collection of required supplier documentation.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (PO), including acknowledgements, change orders, and invoice resolution.
• Coordinate weekly monitoring of supplier progress, expedite deliveries, and elevate issues to Project Sourcing Leads for commercial leverage.
• Manage RFQ submissions, follow-ups, and lead negotiations for products and services to achieve cost-out objectives.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure executed contracts are uploaded to the Oracle Contracts Database.
• Escalate supplier quality challenges and ensure recovery of costs related to quality non‑conformances.
• Ensure procurement data, delivery forecasts, and commitments are accurately reflected in reporting tools.
• Drive supplier on‑time delivery performance, proactively anticipating risks and escalating as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in procurement.
• Technical Proficiency: Minimum 5+ years of experience working in SAP purchasing systems. Advanced skills in Tableau, Power Query, Microsoft Access, and advanced Excel.
• Proven experience supporting KPI tracking, spend analysis, supplier performance monitoring, and operational reporting. Proven ability to build automated data workflows to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and support management decision‑making.
• Language: English (Mandatory).

Base Salary Range: $101,000.00 – $151,000.00 CAD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. Healthcare benefits include medical, dental, and vision.

Location: Onsite (Reporting to 650 Markland St., Markham, ON).

• Travel Requirement: 10% domestic travel (must comply with all corporate travel and tax policies)
