Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Candiac, QC is seeking a Production Planner / Buyer to coordinate procurement of raw materials and resale products while aligning customer orders with manufacturing output. You will help develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and manage supplier performance within a dynamic team.

The role requires a DEC/Bachelor’s in business and 5 years in manufacturing, with ERP experience (H5 Lawson) and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
• CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or ACGA procurement certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts and plant capacity.
• Develop and implement production plans according to sales forecasts and inventory levels.
• Ensure products are manufactured on time and meet quality standards.
• Calculate safety stock levels and reorder points based on forecasts, orders, and inventory strategies.
• Coordinate with other departments (purchasing, sales, logistics) to ensure products are manufactured and delivered on schedule.
• Manage inventory levels daily by monitoring KPIs, such as inventory turnover and stock levels, to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
