Job description

Our company is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are seeking a strategic procurement manager. This individual will establish a procurement vision by leveraging and optimizing current procurement strategies. They will also promote expeditious cost-effective sourcing while developing existing talent to carry out procurement duties. Responsibilities include:

1. Providing strategic guidance to support sourcing approaches for Replacement Parts and EPC/Design Build business;
2. Developing and managing contracts to ensure the most optimal terms and conditions are achieved;
3. Reviewing, developing, and ensuring compliance standards within purchasing policies and aligning with industry best practices;
4. Developing sourcing strategies for parts and EPC subcontractors;
5. Participating in business team meetings to ensure engagement and facilitate relationships with internal business partners.

Occasional travel will be required. This position is currently an on-call (i.e., no benefits) position with hours varying weekly from zero to 40, and sometimes more. The successful candidate will have:

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in business administration, business management, or a related field;
• At least two years of relevant capital procurement experience; or, if no degree, at least six years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

• Developing procurement strategies;
• Developing master agreements, business schedules, NDAs, etc.;
• Legal matters pertaining to procurement;
• Developing purchasing policies;
• Mentoring less experienced staff.

Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in business administration, business management, or a related field.
