Job summary

Infrastructure Ontario is seeking a Portfolio Asset Manager to lead the stewardship, optimization, and long‑term sustainability of the Government Real Estate Portfolio. You will integrate condition, risk, utilization, functional adequacy, and financial data to guide investment priorities and lifecycle planning.

You will develop multi‑year capital plans, establish governance and performance metrics, and collaborate with ministry partners to align investments with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise asset management, capital planning, portfolio optimization, infrastructure or facilities management.
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, asset condition assessment, and capital renewal planning.
• Experience with Asset Management Information Systems and data governance frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical and financial data into strategic recommendations for decision‑makers.
• Experience developing asset management plans, investment strategies, and long‑term capital plans.
• Strong financial acumen with evaluating lifecycle costs and funding strategies.
• Ability to influence executives and partners to align investments with priorities.
• Experience developing governance methodologies and portfolio analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop asset management strategies and portfolio plans to optimize government real estate assets.
• Lead portfolio plans integrating asset condition, risk, utilization, and financial data.
• Establish risk frameworks and performance metrics for capital planning.
• Coordinate development and review of Asset Management Plans and related studies.
• Advise on investment priorities, lifecycle planning, and renewal strategies.
• Review assessments to identify renewal needs and intervention approaches.
• Develop multi‑year capital renewal plans and reinvestment programs.
• Evaluate proposals to maximize lifecycle value and value-for-money.
• Collaborate with ministry partners, delivery teams, and service providers.
• Champion continuous improvement in enterprise asset management practices.
