Job summary

MNP in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking a Consultant in Strategic Planning to help design and implement impactful strategies across private, public, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors. You will conduct research, perform analyses, and craft recommendations that balance current needs with future goals.

You will support business development efforts, develop high-quality deliverables, and collaborate with client teams while traveling as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics or other related field.
• CMC, PMP, Lean or other related certifications are considered an asset.
• 2 to 3 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment.
• Experience in business and practice development is considered an asset.
• Experience in project management is considered an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with a focus on strategy and planning services in the private, public, not-for-profit and Indigenous sectors
• Execute business planning, feasibility studies, strategic planning, operational planning, program review, program re-deigns, financial analysis and other forms of management consulting
• Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
• Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups and surveys
• Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables including proposals, engagement letters, reports, presentations and other correspondence
• Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
• Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
