Job summary

Global Medical Products Inc. in Canada is seeking a Business Operations & Strategy Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive strategic initiatives, and support growth across procurement, strategy, and cross-functional processes.

You will work closely with management to optimize workflows, manage commercial activities, and translate business priorities into actionable solutions within a healthcare-focused distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in business operations, business development, procurement, supply chain management, project management, or a comparable cross-functional role.
• Demonstrated experience improving business processes, coordinating complex workflows, managing projects, or independently resolving operational challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and familiarity with ERP or business management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, in order to assess complex issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, engaging colleagues, management, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Seeks opportunities, is resourceful and adaptable, and has a willingness to learn.
• Proactive, takes initiative and ownership of work, and ability to work independently without constant direction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and timely execution across functions.
• Monitor and support end-to-end operational workflows, including purchasing, supplier coordination, order processing, inventory, logistics, invoicing, and customer service.
• Utilize internal ERP systems (Odoo) to monitor transactions, maintain operational visibility, troubleshoot issues, and support informed decision-making.
• Serve as a key point of contact for resolving complex operational challenges alongside management, addressing escalated customer or supplier concerns, and coordinating solutions across teams.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, management, suppliers, and external partners to maintain service quality and support business objectives.
• Proactively identify and assess operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to strengthen business processes, systems, workflows and service delivery.
• Conduct research, comparative assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate operational solutions and strategies.
• Lead the implementation of approved improvements, including system enhancements, workflow optimization, and change management initiatives.
• Develop and refine internal policies, procedures, documentation, and controls to improve consistency, accountability, compliance, and operational performance.
