Job summary

Government of Alberta is seeking an Inspector in a temporary, full‑time role to lead strategic operations and community safety. Reporting to the Deputy Chief, you will guide policing services, ensure compliance with standards, and build partnerships across agencies and Indigenous communities.

The role requires a university degree, substantial policing experience, and the ability to manage change during the ASPS transition. Salary range $185,203–$198,884 annually is offered.

Qualifications

• 15 years policing experience with 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Knowledge of policing legislation, policies, standards and multi-level frameworks.
• Expertise in quality management, analytics, and information systems.

• Lead transition efforts related to Alberta Sheriffs Police Service setup.
