Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a Supply Specialist to optimize inventory management across facilities, support new product launches, and drive cost-saving initiatives within the Procurement Operations and Governance Team.

You will collaborate with Plants, Commercial and Supply Chain teams, master supplier relationships, and ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing write-offs and capital tied up in stock.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with SAP/Ariba/Excel and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze MRP demand signals to place outline agreements with suppliers.
• Optimize inventory management to balance supply and minimize overstock.
• Build strong supplier relationships to mitigate risks and resolve shortages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day activities and ensure delivery to plants.
• Grow brand support by facilitating new product launches and meeting launch timelines.
• Partner with sourcing on cost-saving projects and negotiate with suppliers.
• Recommend continuous improvements to remove waste and add value.
• Develop understanding of commodities and cost models supporting procurement.
