Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking an MRO Supervisor to manage the spare parts storeroom, procurement, and inventory for Lagimodiere operations. You will lead a team, optimize MRO spend, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will partner with reliability and operations leadership to drive supplier performance, implement SOPs, and deliver accurate reporting on MRO metrics across the plant.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in an MRO purchasing, inventory or maintenance management role in manufacturing.
• College diploma in purchasing/inventory management.
• Certification in supply chain or procurement management.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proven personnel management and mentoring abilities.
• Knowledge of MRO parts and warehouse management.
• Experience with SAP or ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute MRO planning and management practices in day-to-day operations.
• Manage purchasing of maintenance spare parts, consumables and services.
• Develop alternative suppliers and supplier relationships.
• Oversee vendor performance and negotiations.
• Control spare parts replenishment to maintain right-sized inventory.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory movements and financial reporting.
• Drive cost reduction activities and process improvements.
• Coach and supervise storekeepers, purchasers, and receivers.
• Develop plant SOPs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Report MRO metrics to plant and leadership.
