Job summary

Oxfam Canada is seeking a Human Resources & Payroll Officer to manage bi-weekly payroll, HRIS, benefits, pension and timekeeping with careful data integrity. You will support recruitment onboarding, reporting and employee records within a collaborative Finance & Operations team in Ottawa.

The role requires 5+ years in payroll or HR systems, a relevant degree, and strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• University degree in HR, business administration or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in payroll, HR system administration or HR support.
• Experience with payroll principles and HRIS/payroll portals is essential.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll and staff data changes accurately and on time.
• Maintain HRIS, payroll, benefits and pension data with data integrity.
• Generate reports and assist with recruitment onboarding and training tracking.
• Prepare HR letters, support performance reviews and record management.
