Job summary

Finning International Inc. in Surrey, BC is seeking a strategic Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis. You will partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into actionable financial plans.

As a trusted advisor, you will drive improvements in capital allocation, risk assessment and operational performance while developing a high-performing FP&A team in a hybrid, office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience in FP&A, business partnering, or corporate finance.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting experience in a complex organization.
• Leadership experience with coaching and developing people.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience influencing senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships across finance and business functions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, PowerBI, BPC and reporting/analytics tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, long-range planning, and capital allocation processes.
• Partner with operational and functional leaders to translate strategy into actionable financial plans.
• Provide financial leadership by identifying risks, opportunities, trends, and recommendations.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including statements, variance analysis, KPIs, and executive reports.
• Deliver meaningful business insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.
• Lead scenario planning and financial modelling for strategic initiatives and growth.
• Drive continuous improvement of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and planning processes.
• Foster partnerships across Finance, Tax, Treasury, Controllers’ Group, and operations; promote collaboration.
• Coach and develop team members to sustain accountability and high performance.
