Job summary

Finning Canada in Surrey, BC is seeking a strategic Manager, FP&A to lead enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis.

You will partner with senior leaders, transform data into actionable insights, and drive budgeting and capital planning while building a high-performing team. This role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) with a competitive base salary plus bonus and medical benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within FP&A, business partnering, or corporate finance.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting in a complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecast, long-range planning, and capital allocation processes across the organization.
• Partner with leaders to translate strategy into actionable financial plans and targets.
• Provide financial leadership by identifying risks, opportunities, trends, and recommendations.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including statements, variance analysis, KPIs, and executive reporting.
• Deliver insights to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
• Lead scenario planning and financial modelling for strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and planning processes.
• Foster partnerships across Finance, Tax, Treasury, and operations; coach and develop the team.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within Financial Planning & Analysis, business partnering, or corporate finance.
• Proven experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and management reporting in a complex organization.
• Previous leadership experience with a passion for coaching and developing people.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across finance and business functions.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, Power BI, BPC, and reporting/analytics tools is considered an asset.
