Job summary

Flanagan Foodservice Inc. in Kitchener, ON is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to lead forecasting, planning and replenishment for assigned product portfolios, ensuring perpetual supply through the DC network.

The role requires analytical decision-making, strong inventory management, and collaboration with sales and category teams to balance demand and supply, optimize fill rates and inventory turns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning/Buying with a major retailer, distributor or food manufacturer.
• Food and Beverage industry experience/knowledge.
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices.
• Post-secondary education in business, supply chain or a related field.
• Experience with ERP systems and forecasting & replenishment software such as JDA.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel.
• APICS certification preferred – CPIM, CSCP.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting and replenishment of food and beverage items and other categories as assigned.
• Achieve inventory level, inventory turns, and fill rate objectives.
• Issuance of Purchase Orders and communicating with vendors and carriers to maintain continuous supply.
• Collaborating with territory managers to understand market conditions and adjust stocking within our ERP.
• Seasonal forecasting and promo management and planning.
• Managing inventory to meet shelf life and DC capacity requirements.
• Communicate and respond to sales team requests daily or as needed.
• Provide supply chain planning support and coverage for the team as required.
• Work with category managers to execute product strategy and drive profitable case volume.
