Job summary

CNA Canada seeks an Assistant Vice President, Data & Analytics to lead analytics strategy and delivery, ensuring data-driven insights fuel performance and decisions. You will bridge business leaders, Technology, and Global Data & Analytics teams to translate needs into actionable solutions.

The role requires defined governance, a robust analytics roadmap, and effective stakeholder engagement to realize value across the organization in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Advanced education in data science or analytics is considered an asset.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Data & Analytics, BI, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership experience leading teams and strategic initiatives.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders to define and deliver data and analytics solutions.
• Experience with data visualization/analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Canada Data & Analytics roadmap aligned with business strategy and enterprise priorities.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand priorities and translate needs into analytics solutions.
• Lead intake, prioritization, and governance of analytics requests balancing value, capacity, and alignment.
• Define, monitor, and communicate key business metrics and analytics outcomes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, DASH, Global Analytics to align Canada’s analytics strategy with enterprise objectives.
