Job summary

Mace in Toronto is seeking a Senior Risk Lead to oversee risk management for major construction commissions. You will design frameworks, lead risk workshops, and partner with clients and project teams to protect objectives.

The role requires a proven track record in complex projects, familiarity with risk tools such as AR Manager, riskHive, and Primavera Risk Analyser, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading risk on complex construction projects.
• Ability to set up risk management frameworks/strategies.
• Knowledge of risk tools and software (e.g., Active Risk Manager, riskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser).
• Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
• Understanding of construction project lifecycles and interfaces.
• Domain knowledge in sectors like rail, highways, nuclear, hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for risk management performance of assigned commissions.
• Designs/implements risk management frameworks/strategies for commissions.
• Leads and directs client, consultant, contractor, and project teams on risk matters.
• Partners with clients to meet expectations and build relationships.
• Provides expert advice to project teams on risk processes and escalation.
• Drives delivery of risk workshops and risk reporting.
• Supports PMO with resourcing and integration of risk with planning.
