Job summary

Accenture Construct seeks a Construction Safety Director to lead Health, Safety and Wellbeing across major infrastructure programs in Toronto. You’ll drive a proactive safety culture, integrate HSW across owner, designer, and constructor teams, and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 standards.

You will direct governance, risk management and performance metrics, partnering with clients and delivery partners to embed safety in design and construction. This is a high-impact, full-time leadership role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
• 15+ years’ experience in major infrastructure/construction projects.
• Demonstrated leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience in integrated delivery models (PDB/IPD/alliancing) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario H&S legislation and safety standards (ISO 45001).
• Executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Strategic leadership and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSW performance monitoring and governance across SSE and related packages.
• Drive safety culture and risk reduction across all delivery partners.
• Integrate HSW requirements into design, constructability and delivery planning.
• Provide independent assurance through audits and performance oversight.
• Lead SHW leadership forums and reporting to executives.
