Job summary

Northern Lights College Foundation is seeking a Communications & Events Specialist to develop, coordinate and distribute information for the Foundation Office.

You will manage event logistics for interviews and campaigns, monitor media coverage, and create content for newsletters, social media, brochures, and donor profiles. This role supports marketing initiatives and engagement with students and donors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in social media marketing or the non-profit sector.
• Experience coordinating events, committees, and focus groups.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to deliver presentations to groups, manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and foster strong working relationships with employees and departments.
• Experience and proficiency with a current version MS Office.
• Valid driver's license.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Diploma in a related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, compile and distribute information related to Foundation Office.
• Coordinate event logistics for interviews, cheque presentations and other special events.
• Monitor media coverage related to Foundation campaigns and make recommendations to increase exposure.
• Prepare content to support marketing strategies across web-based and promotional platforms, including newsletters, social media, brochures, and donor profiles.
