The Lumenpulse Group in Longueuil seeks a seasoned Commodity Manager to lead steel and aluminium casting and sheet metal sourcing. You will analyse market trends, manage cost drivers, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance profitability and resilience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline (Engineering preferred).
• 8-12+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, or Procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical understanding of casting processes, extrusion manufacturing, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Experience delivering cost savings and supplier consolidation initiatives.
• Experience deploying category/commodity strategies through site-level teams in multi-site/multi-brand environments.
• Experience with global sourcing and overseas supplier management.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in sourcing analysis, implementation, and contract administration.
• Fluent in French and English; interaction with international colleagues is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute multi-brand commodity strategies for steel and aluminium castings, extrusions, and sheet metal fabrications.
• Partner with CMEs to align sourcing strategies with operations and capacity requirements.
• Consolidate spend across brands and CMEs to increase leverage and cut costs.
• Standardise CME purchasing requirements to bundle volumes under group contracts.
• Lead supplier negotiations and long-term agreements.
• Provide contracting tools, sourcing playbooks, and QBR cadence with CME teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering to review drawings and provide DFM recommendations.
• Evaluate tooling strategies, capacity planning, and supplier capabilities.
• Monitor global steel/aluminium markets and manage cost drivers and risk.
• Rationalise supplier base while strengthening strategic relationships.
• Develop sourcing for build-to-order models with variable demand.
• Lead supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Interface with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve material issues.
• Identify new supply sources during product development.
