Job summary

SGS Canada Metallurgy and Consulting NAM is seeking a Group Manager to set strategic direction for growth, oversee financial performance, maintain existing lines, and drive continued expansion in targeted market segments. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely delivery across multiple sites and disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Hydrometallurgy, Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in minerals-related field or equivalent.
• Experience with flowsheet, bench scale and pilot plant programs.
• Consulting experience with financial/budget responsibilities is a plus.
• Experience with people management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for growth and business improvements.
• Be accountable for financial performance of the business unit and ongoing growth in targeted markets.
• Lead and mentor staff across levels, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery of data and services.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and environmental regulations.
• Maintain client satisfaction by delivering quality data and meeting turnaround targets.
