Job summary

MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Commodity Manager in Mississauga to lead parts acquisition for multiple aerospace projects and optimize the supply chain from design to production handover.

The role reports to the Director-Strategic Sourcing and focuses on cost effective supplier engagement and contract execution. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, drive cost reduction initiatives, and manage development phase contracts with suppliers while ensuring on‑time delivery and quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in purchasing/sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Sales, Engineering, or related discipline required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience identifying and delivering cost reduction plans to benefit the business.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage parts acquisition for multiple projects from concept design to production handover.
• Coordinate supply chain activity across several projects as needed.
• Lead supplier negotiations to achieve economical, cost‑effective solutions.
• Oversee contractual obligations with suppliers during development phases.
• Provide accurate forecasts of new developments with Planners and Buyers.
• Interface with planners, buyers, and subcontractors on delivery, cost and inquiries.
• Ensure supplier adherence to contractual terms and manage cost budgets.
