Job summary

The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to strengthen our national Business Development approach and support profitable growth across regions. You’ll translate priorities into practical strategies and tools as a trusted advisor to leaders.

You’ll lead sales enablement, develop dashboards and scorecards, drive cross-functional initiatives, and build capabilities across the organization while operating in a hybrid work environment across Canada.

Qualifications

At least five years of experience in insurance, business development, sales enablement, or related field.
Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Proficiency in Excel and translating data into actionable insights.
Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
Experience with Power BI, Salesforce, underwriting, or performance improvement is an asset.

Responsibilities

Strategic Collaboration: Partner with leaders and regional teams to align regional activities with national priorities.
Sales Enablement: Lead development and rollout of sales playbooks, tools, processes, and training for profitable growth.
Performance Insights: Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to identify opportunities and support decisions.
Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional Business Development initiatives from planning through implementation.
Process Improvement: Improve Business Development processes, systems, and governance for consistency and accountability.
Capability Building: Provide guidance and expertise to strengthen Business Development capabilities across the organization.
