Job summary

Pacific Coast Community Resources in Port Coquitlam, BC, is seeking a Benefits Administrator to manage total rewards, benefits, pensions, and disability claims, while ensuring work permit compliance and supporting permanent residency applications. This role bridges HR, Payroll, and external providers in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be analytical, detail oriented, and able to translate data into strategic HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in HR with a focus on benefits, total rewards, and HRIS.
• Experience managing immigration files and ensuring compliance for work permits.
• Strong knowledge of employment, immigration (IRCC), and benefits legislation.
• Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with MS Excel proficiency.
• Experience with HRIS systems is essential.
• Excellent communication and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Willing to undergo a vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits, pensions, and disability programs, including enrollments and remittances.
• Manage complex pension processes and related invoicing.
• Support disability claims and payroll deductions.
• Advise recruiting and leadership on immigration compliance.
• Lead processes to support permanent residency applications (BC PNP, RNIP).
• Develop onboarding checklists for work permit holders and maintain tracking.
• Interpret HR policies related to compensation and benefits for managers and staff.
• Provide HR data and insights for the annual turnover report and related initiatives.
