Job summary

CMP Group Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Controller for a 6-month temporary contract in Delta, BC. The role focuses on accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis, excluding inventory and COGS, with weekly and monthly reporting to head office.

Responsibilities include month-end G/L reconciliations, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, and maintaining a rolling 26-week cash forecast. The position requires 7+ years in similar roles and advanced Excel, based in-office in Delta, BC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an assistant controller or in a similar role in the manufacturing or similar industry.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, cash flow analysis
• Advanced excel skills
• 7+ years of experience with customer collections
• 7+ years of experience in month-end G/L reconciliations and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (excluding inventory and tax) on a regular basis
• Experience using or navigating Microsoft Access

Responsibilities

• Month-end G/L reconciliations and balance sheet account monitoring.
• Manage cash flow analysis and rolling forecast updates.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and collections.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and consolidation efforts.
• Prepare audit working papers and assist with year-end audits.
