A growing business in the GTA area is seeking a CPA Controller for a 6-month maternity leave cover with a potential extension. Responsibilities include taxation, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on improving processes. The ideal candidate must hold a CPA certification and have at least 5 years of experience, ideally in multi-entity operations or manufacturing. The position offers a salary between $90K and $110K per annum and is expected to start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Requires CPA with a minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in multi-entity or manufacturing.
• Capable of performing reconciliations, closures, and reports.
• Proficient knowledge of GST/HST, ASPE, and corporate tax.

Responsibilities

• Manage taxation and compliance including returns and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee monthly closings, general ledger, and budgeting.
• Optimize processes and provide strategic support.
• Provide leadership to junior staff and report to C-Suite.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Taxation and Compliance - returns, closing, SR&ED, compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards.
• Reporting and Operations - monthly closings, general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, margins, costs of production.
• Improving processes and supporting strategy - looking for funding.
• Leadership - helping junior staff and reporting to C‑Suite.

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA with minimum 5 years’ experience, best in multi‑entity or manufacturing.
• Able to do reconciliations, close, report.
• In‑depth knowledge of GST/HST, ASPE, and corporate tax.
• Able to work independently and with other departments in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
• Financial Leader - multi‑entity operations, compliance, tax.

$90K - $110K per annum salary

Starting date - ASAP.
