Job summary

Metrolinx is seeking a Manager and Senior Advisor in the Engineering, Safety and Asset Management Division to strengthen corporate reporting, governance and strategy. This in-office role is based at our downtown Toronto locations, requiring collaborative work with leaders across the organization.

You will support Deputy Chief Engineer & EVP with SMT/Board reporting, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise strategy alignment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture or related discipline.
• Professional designation (e.g., PE/Eng) is an asset.
• Experience advising senior executives, leading teams, and managing projects end-to-end.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to evaluate policies and programs.
• Experience applying structured project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide research and analysis to support policy development and SMT/Board reporting.
• Offer strategic advisory support on divisional priorities and governance activities.
• Lead creation and review of executive briefing materials, presentations, and notes for SMT/ELT and Board.
• Manage cross-functional projects through all phases and ensure transition to operations.
• Develop and implement communications strategies for key initiatives and changes.
• Coordinate input from multiple units to align messages and deliverables.
• Monitor KPIs and performance data to inform decisions and reporting.
• Synthesize technical and business information into concise recommendations.
