Job summary

Metrolinx, an agency of the Government of Ontario, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to strengthen inventory governance, controls and reporting across the Finance Office. You will deliver financial analysis, support governance, and partner with divisions to improve accuracy and compliance.

You will lead monthly closings, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, applying GAAP knowledge and leveraging Hyperion/Power BI for insights.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce or equivalent.
• CPA/CA/CMA designation and public/private sector experience is an asset.
• Progressive experience as a financial analyst.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor inventory governance frameworks and internal controls.
• Provide accounting oversight for inventory transactions and reporting.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts and long-range planning.
• Support audits and governance committees with analytic insights.
• Prepare financial commentary for management and partners.
