Job summary

Alberta Health Services is hiring a Stores I for the High Prairie Health Complex in a casual/relief capacity. You will handle picking, packing, shipping and receiving of hospital supplies, equipment and food, and you will process requisitions while distributing inventory to ensure accurate quantities.

You will audit cart accuracy, communicate with stakeholders, and monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to 275 kg.
• Capable of walking and/or standing for long periods.
• Regularly use hands and arms to lift and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.

Job description

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with established guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantities of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
