Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a casual Stores I at Westlock Healthcare Centre to manage picking, packing, shipping and receiving of hospital supplies, equipment and food. You will process requisitions, distribute supplies and ensure accurate quantities are available.

You will monitor inventories, perform cart audits for QA, and communicate with stakeholders to maintain proper stock levels and prevent overstocking. This role follows a Day shift pattern within a Casual/Relief arrangement.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be able to push/pull heavy wheeled carts up to 275 kg.
• Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
• Must lift/carry items up to 25 kg.

Job description

As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with established guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicate frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantities of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
