Job summary

True North Cannabis Co. & Associated Companies is seeking a Store Manager to lead a cannabis retail team in a fast-paced environment.

You will drive daily operations, ensure compliance, and deliver a high-quality guest experience through strong store leadership and staff development. The role requires retail management experience, CannSell certification, and flexibility to work varied hours across seven days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or management experience.
• CannSell Certification (required).
• Knowledge of vape/tobacco regulations or willingness to train.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory controls.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling and support.
• Uphold product quality, cleanliness, and company standards.

Store Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Assist in making daily decisions that involve time management, staff scheduling and support, uphold product quality, cleanliness, and other Company standards
• Understands cost control procedures, financial accounting, inventory levels, and labor management
• Assisting the General Manager with the implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting the store staff implement plans that meet objectives
• Manages with integrity and honesty
• communicates and delegates necessary responsibilities to the store staff to ensure a smooth flow of operations
• Being a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive
• Ensure employees work productively and help develop the store team to deliver quality customer experiences.
• communicates store environments and key business indicators help to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
• assists the General Manager with recruitment & training of new employees
• Ensures Visual merchandising & planograms are followed
• Responsible for inventory management
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations & AGCO compliance regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift on tiled surfaces
    • Frequent reaching, bending, and lifting boxes of stock (up to 40 lbs)
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated retail environment
    • Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds during scheduledshift.
    • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during scheduled shift.

  • Working Conditions

    • Standing and walking for extended periods
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
    • Repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, and lifting
      • Retail environment with continuous customer interaction
    • Exposed to cannabis and nicotine vapor smell
    • Our operating hours are 7 days a week and may range from 8am to 11:30pm
      Part-time hours range : 00- 31 hours per week
      Full- time salary hours range : 40 – 44 hours per week
