The Role:

We are seeking a Store Manager for our upcoming Woodgrove Centre location in Nanaimo, BC. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a passion for sporting apparel and footwear. The Store Manager will lead all aspects of store operations, including driving sales, maintaining visual standards, and coaching a team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Motivate the sales team to exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.
2. Continuously seek ways to improve in-store strategies while adhering to company standards.
3. Develop a community-oriented culture through strong customer relationships and service.
4. Set weekly schedules and delegate daily tasks.
5. Increase store sales through effective inventory management, merchandising, and identifying growth opportunities.
6. Manage end-to-end in-store e-commerce sales, including processing, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
7. Reduce store shrinkage by investigating inventory discrepancies and resolving issues.
8. Handle weekly bank deposits and manage store expenses.
9. Build a talent pipeline to develop future leaders within the store.
10. Stay informed about new product releases and upcoming merchandise.
11. Coordinate with HR to fill all store positions.
12. Train new and promoted staff on their roles and responsibilities.
13. Manage biweekly payroll submissions for the store team.
14. Ensure visual presentation standards are met as per the Merchandising team’s guidelines.
15. Host local events and initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Needed:

• 5+ years of retail management experience.
