The Role:

We are seeking a Store Manager for our new Woodgrove Centre location in Nanaimo, BC. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat attitude, a passion for sporting apparel and footwear, and strong leadership skills. The Store Manager will oversee all aspects of store operations, including driving sales, maintaining visual standards, and coaching a team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Motivate the sales team to exceed targets weekly and monthly.
2. Improve in-store strategies while maintaining company standards.
3. Build community rapport through excellent customer service.
4. Set weekly schedules and delegate daily tasks.
5. Increase sales via inventory management and merchandising.
6. Manage end-to-end e-commerce sales, including processing and shipping orders.
7. Reduce shrinkage by investigating inventory discrepancies.
8. Handle weekly bank deposits and store expenses.
9. Develop talent pipelines and promote leadership from within.
10. Keep the team informed about new product releases.
11. Collaborate with HR to fill staffing positions.
12. Train new and promoted staff on their roles.
13. Manage biweekly payroll submissions.
14. Ensure visual standards are met according to merchandising guidelines.
15. Host local events and initiatives aligned with company standards.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:

• Minimum 5 years of retail management experience.
