Job summary

The Wickaninnish Inn Ltd. invites you to join our Culinary Team as a Steward/Dishwasher in Tofino, BC. You will support the kitchen by sanitizing tableware, keeping prep areas clean, and handling stock and waste with care.

We value teamwork, punctuality, and a calm, professional demeanor as we uphold Relais & Châteaux and Forbes standards. A staff meal is provided, and overtime is paid, in a fast-paced but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to learn in a team environment and strive to meet Relais & Châteaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes standards.
• Able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tableware, flatware and glassware are hygienically sanitized.
• Ensure kitchen and preparation areas are clean and free from debris.
• Receive and store new stock orders.
• Daily transport of all refuse and recycling from Kitchen areas.

Steward/Dishwasher set the stage for our Culinary and Food & Beverage Team to succeed. Ensuring all tableware, flatware and glassware are hygienically sanitized and readily available for service.

As a Steward/Dishwasher you will:

• Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
• Ensure all tableware, flatware and glassware are hygienically sanitized.
• Ensure Kitchen and Kitchen preparation area are clean and free from debris.
• Receive and put away new stock orders.
• Daily transport all refuse and recycling from Kitchen and Kitchen preparation areas.

Salary/Wage: $19.00 per hour, with a staff meal provided during every shift. Paid overtime.
