Job summary

River Oaks Dental in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a patient‑focused team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists during procedures, and manage imaging and infection control to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates are registered or certified with the provincial body and have prior dental assisting experience. The role supports scheduling, patient flow, and education, contributing to exceptional patient care in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

• Monday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
• Tuesday: 11:30 am - 8:00 pm
• Wednesday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $27.00 - $29.00/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
