Clover Leaf Seafoods is seeking a Stationary Engineer to oversee maintenance and operation within our plant in Blacks Harbour, NB. The role requires reading electrical diagrams, coordinating contractor activities, and ensuring safety procedures are followed daily.

Ideal candidates will have an allied trades certificate or diploma and experience with monitoring systems, ammonia refrigeration and PLC/DCS environments, while working on-site in a demanding industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
• Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports
• Instruct apprentices
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
• Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
• Assist during routine systems testing
• Assist in locating and isolating system problems
• Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
• Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
• Issue work and test permits to electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel
• Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities
• Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
• Operate automated or computerized control systems
• Operate equipment in hydro, thermal and nuclear power plants
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Regulate water levels
• Start up and shut down power plant equipment
