Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a part-time, non-clinical administrative professional for a 0.80 FTE in-person role scheduled for days. The successful candidate will support scheduling, documentation, and front-line coordination within Shared Health operations in Manitoba.

Requirements include typing 45 wpm, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Knowledge of ESP or SAP scheduling systems is preferred. Criminal checks and immunization checks may apply.

Qualifications

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program or equivalent combination of education and experience as recognized by the Centre, required.
  • Typing 45 wpm required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access) required.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Preference for Indigenous language knowledge and/or Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Must understand and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Environment for Scheduling Personnel (ESP), SAP or other service-based staff scheduling systems required.

Position Overview

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program or equivalent combination of education and experience as recognized by the Centre, required.

  • Work under stressful conditions in a high volume, high traffic environment.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
