Job summary

Synopsys in Ottawa, ON is seeking a senior Simulation Platform Engineer to help build scalable analog/mixed-signal simulation infrastructure and AI-assisted automation for IP design teams worldwide.

You will partner with EDA vendors, enable production sign-off flows, and contribute to cloud-based workloads and next-generation engineering workflows. Onsite in Ottawa, you will impact thousands of IP designers.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong background in CAD, design automation, and simulation infrastructure.
• Hands-on circuit simulation, testbench automation, and production workflows.
• Proficient in Python, Tcl, Shell scripting; Linux-based development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analog/mixed-signal simulation infrastructure with emphasis on scalability and usability.
• Design AI-assisted automation for simulation setup, debugging, and workflow optimization.
• Improve distributed and cloud-based simulation environments for large-scale workloads.
• Enable production sign-off flows including Monte Carlo and post-layout simulation.
• Collaborate with design teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Partner with EDA vendors and internal teams to drive new features and integrations.
• Support engineers with documentation, training, and best-practice guidance.
