As Staff Product Manager, Growth at Shakepay, you’ll report directly to our CEO and take full ownership of our product-led growth strategy. You’ll be responsible for discovering and scaling opportunities that increase Shakepay’s reach, activation, engagement, and retention across our consumer product. This role is highly strategic and hands-on: you’ll lead bold and unconventional experiments, deeply understand customer behavior, and help shape how millions of Canadians adopt and use bitcoin.

You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, marketing, leadership, and other stakeholders to craft and execute high-impact initiatives that grow the business. Your work will directly impact how Canadians discover Shakepay, experience their first bitcoin transaction, and keep coming back.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and lead Shakepay’s product growth strategy, focusing on growth model levers like acquisition, activation, referral, and retention.
  • Translate insights and strategy into compelling narratives that bring the team along — from engineers to executives.
  • Partner with engineering and design to identify and build growth loops, frictionless onboarding experiences, and habit-forming products.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align growth product efforts with lifecycle campaigns, performance marketing, and community initiatives.
  • Work closely with data and research to uncover deep insights into user behavior and identify high-leverage opportunities.
  • Own and drive initiatives end-to-end: from opportunity sizing to solution discovery to scaling successful bets.
  • Regularly communicate product strategy and progress with executive leadership and the broader team.

Who we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of experience as a product manager in mobile-first technology companies, ideally in fintech or consumer marketplaces.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills—you inspire teams and influence stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of leading successful product-led growth initiatives (e.g., onboarding, referrals, A/B testing, retention loops, mobile growth channels).
  • Highly analytical and metrics-driven: you can frame a growth problem, design experiments, and interpret results with clarity.
  • Experience with growing adoption at scale.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously, making decisions with imperfect data, and ruthlessly prioritizing.
  • Deep curiosity about bitcoin, financial services, and the future of money.
  • You’re relentlessly resourceful and thrive in fast-moving environments.
