About the role

You will own the end-to-end journey for customers accessing Twilio messaging and number services as a Staff Product Manager focused on Senders and Numbers (Onboarding and Compliance). Your daily decisions will directly influence compliance standards and shape the customer registration flow from initial contact to completed setup. You are responsible for converting intricate regulatory rules and complex business requirements into coherent product plans that cross-functional teams can execute with clarity. Every prioritization you make will balance risk mitigation against user experience to protect both compliance integrity and growth velocity. You will design and continuously refine onboarding flows to guide new customers through registration in a way that is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with regulatory expectations. A key part of your role involves championing compliance requirements so that local rules remain clear, actionable, and understandable for both customers and internal stakeholders. You will translate executive expectations and market feedback into realistic roadmaps, ensuring engineering teams can deliver on commitments without compromising quality or scalability. You will review launch outcomes, analyze performance signals, and use those insights to refine future releases and improve long-term product health.

What you'll do
  • Set backlog priorities for Senders and Numbers products, balancing risk mitigation with user experience to ensure alignment with regulatory and business goals.
  • Design onboarding flows that guide new customers through registration while protecting growth velocity and maintaining a high level of usability.
  • Analyze behavioral data to identify friction points in the onboarding journey and validate improvements that enhance completion and success rates.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and analytics teams to deliver measurable product improvements according to schedule and quality standards.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing departments to ensure messaging, enablement materials, and customer communications accurately reflect product capabilities and compliance requirements.
  • Champion compliance requirements across the product lifecycle so that local rules remain clear, actionable, and integrated into the customer experience.
  • Translate executive expectations and strategic priorities into realistic roadmaps that enable engineering teams to deliver on commitments predictably.
  • Review launch outcomes and use performance signals, such as conversion and error rates, to refine future releases and improve long-term product stability.
  • Leverage SQL and analytics platforms to generate insights that inform decision-making and support data-driven product strategies.
  • Utilize product management methodologies and tools such as roadmaps, JIRA, A/B testing, Figma, and Confluence to structure, communicate, and track product initiatives.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to interpret regulatory changes and translate them into product requirements and policy language.
  • Define and own key metrics for onboarding and compliance workflows, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Act as the primary product authority for Senders and Numbers, representing customer and internal stakeholder needs in cross-functional discussions.
  • Continuously iterate on the customer journey based on feedback, testing results, and evolving compliance landscapes to maintain a seamless experience.
Requirements
  • Bring eight years of experience building products within SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS environments, demonstrating deep familiarity with cloud-based service models.
  • Have a proven track record of leading product launches and driving strategic execution to successful outcomes across complex, regulated environments.
  • Rely on quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions, secure executive support, and achieve measurable goals that align with business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and present effectively to both internal and external audiences.
  • Understand UI design principles, technical constraints, and data analysis methodologies without losing focus on the larger mission and regulatory obligations.
  • Exhibit a high level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through on commitments, even when operating in a distributed and fast-paced environment.
  • Show comfort working with regulatory frameworks that impact messaging and number provisioning, and translate those requirements into product logic.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote teams, using asynchronous communication and documentation to maintain alignment and transparency.

  • Experience in onboarding, compliance, or telecommunications-related products is considered a strong advantage for this role.
