Sr. Product Manager - Technical — AWS Messaging Services
AWS Messaging Services power the backbone of modern distributed applications. Our portfolio includes:
Amazon MQ (AMQ) — A managed message broker service for Apache ActiveMQ and RabbitMQ that makes it easy to migrate to the cloud. Amazon MQ provides compatibility with industry-standard messaging APIs and protocols, enabling customers to move from on-premises brokers without rewriting application code.
Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) — A fully managed message queuing service that enables decoupling and scaling of microservices, distributed systems, and serverless applications. SQS eliminates the complexity of managing and operating message-oriented middleware, letting developers focus on differentiated work.
Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) — A fully managed pub/sub messaging and mobile notification service that enables high-throughput, push-based, many-to-many communication between distributed systems, microservices, event-driven serverless applications, and mobile devices.
Together, these services process trillions of messages monthly and are foundational to how customers build reliable, scalable, and loosely coupled architectures on AWS. From startups to the world's largest enterprises, customers depend on our messaging services for mission-critical workloads — including financial transactions, order processing, IoT telemetry, real-time analytics, and event-driven computing. When our services are unavailable or degraded, customer applications stop working. The stakes are high and the impact is massive.
We are seeking a Product Manager - Technical to define product strategy and drive roadmap execution for AWS Messaging Services. You will own the customer experience end-to-end — deeply understanding how developers, architects, and enterprises use messaging to build distributed systems, and shaping our services to meet their evolving needs. You will work backwards from customer problems to define features that make it easier, faster, and more cost-effective to build reliable applications at any scale
