Job summary

CancerCare Manitoba's Pharmacy in Winnipeg seeks a Pharmacist to support oncology services, including IV admixture, drug information, and patient teaching, across multiple sites.

You will join a dynamic team dedicated to patient care, with PPE training provided for hazardous materials and a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized university with a Pharmacy degree.
• Licensed to practice in Manitoba.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software.
• Satisfactory employment record.
• Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology-related pharmacy services including IV admixture, investigational drug studies, and patient teaching.
• Work with hazardous materials daily; PPE provided.
• Primary working hours are Monday to Friday day shifts.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and drug information.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy at CancerCare Manitoba is a dynamic environment suited to a Pharmacist with a desire to expand their knowledge base in Oncology and one who possesses a genuine concern for patient care. Pharmacy services include I.V. antineoplastic admixture, investigational drug studies, provision of drug information, and patient teaching at one of the six CancerCare Manitoba sites. Note: The successful candidate will be working with hazardous materials on a daily basis. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training are provided. Primary working hours are Monday to Friday day shifts.

Qualifications:

Required

• Graduate of Pharmacy from a recognized University
• Licensed to practice in Manitoba
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Accuracy and attentive to details
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel
• Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software
• Satisfactory employment record
• Must be able to legally work in Canada

Preferred

• Three (3) years’ experience as a Staff Pharmacist
• Experience in an institutional pharmacy
• Experience with oncology pharmacy
