Job summary

The Pharmacy at CancerCare Manitoba offers a dynamic environment for a Pharmacist focused on oncology care. You will engage in I.V. antineoplastic admixtures, drug information, and patient education at one of several CancerCare Manitoba sites.

The successful candidate will work Monday–Friday daytime with on-call responsibilities and weekends as needed. PPE training and compliance are provided.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree from a recognized university and Manitoba licensure.
• Ability to work in oncology and with hazardous materials.
• Experience with MS Outlook/Word/Excel and pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform I.V. antineoplastic admixture in a clinical setting.
• Provide drug information and patient teaching.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Adhere to PPE protocols when handling hazardous materials.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy at CancerCare Manitoba is a dynamic environment suited to a Pharmacist with a desire to expand their knowledge base in Oncology and one who possesses a genuine concern for patient care. Pharmacy services include I.V. antineoplastic admixture, investigational drug studies, provision of drug information, and patient teaching at one of the six CancerCare Manitoba sites. Note: The successful candidate will be working with hazardous materials on a daily basis. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training are provided. Primary working hours are Monday to Friday day shifts.

Qualifications:

Required

• Graduate of Pharmacy from a recognized University
• Licensed to practice in Manitoba
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Accuracy and attentive to details
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel
• Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software
• Satisfactory employment record
• Must be able to legally work in Canada

Preferred

• Three (3) years’ experience as a Staff Pharmacist
• Experience in an institutional pharmacy
• Experience with oncology pharmacy
