Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff FullStack Engineer for the AI Acceleration Team in Canada. You will own the technical build for agent authorization and phishing-resistant access, using JavaScript/TypeScript and Java, with AWS and Vercel in play.

You will shape architecture, enforce least privilege, and move fast with customer-centric outcomes. You’ll work on modern security-focused AI tooling, API integrations, and interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver scalable, secure software that protects users

Qualifications

Experience building full‑stack web applications with modern frameworks.
Strong foundation in secure software design and identity/authentication concepts.
Proven ability to define scalable backend architectures and integrate complex APIs.

Responsibilities

Solve core authorization challenges: Define how agents are allowed to act and enforce least privilege.
Design secure access: Build phishing-resistant authentication and authorization for people and agents.
Shape the product: Translate customer needs into outcomes and drive delivery.
Own the quality bar: Be the voice for product quality and outcome ownership.
Drive technical architecture: Make decisions on distributed systems and API integrations at scale.
Modernize development: Improve AI usage across the development lifecycle and onboard the team.
Coach and multiply: Raise the technical bar across the team.
Improve engineering excellence: Prioritize tech debt and improve CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
Stay customer-aware: Maintain a direct line to customer problems and outcomes.
