Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff FullStack Engineer to build the industry's first Identity Security Fabric for the agentic era. You will architect a unified control plane, oversee the four-pillar model from Discover to Govern, and ensure secure, scalable access for both human and non-human identities.

The role emphasizes AI-native engineering, distributed systems, and secure, scalable backend design. You will collaborate with leadership to prioritize open standards, enforce least privilege, and evolve

Qualifications

Proven experience in building scalable backend architectures.
Strong understanding of web authentication and authorization.
Experience with AI-native engineering practices and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Shape the technical strategy for the Identity Security Fabric with leadership.
Govern and monitor agentic behavior across fullstack ecosystems.
Architect for scalable, secure agent identity across humans and non-human actors.
Enforce secure access and least privilege for agents via gateways and short‑lived credentials.
Drive adoption of AI-native development practices and improve CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
Identify tech debt and drive improvements beyond feature work.
Collaborate with Product and Design to align outcomes with customer needs.
Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar of the team.
