Job summary

Okta is hiring a Staff FullStack Engineer for the Secures AI team in Canada. You will architect the Industry's first Identity Security Fabric for agent identity, enabling secure, scalable access for human and non-human identities.

Lead the four-pillar model: Discover, Onboard, Protect, Govern, with emphasis on least privilege and AI-native workflows. You will shape technical strategy, implement enterprise-grade backend/front-end solutions, and collaborate across product, design, and engineering

Qualifications

• Proven experience defining scalable backend architectures and integrating APIs with modern web tech.
• Strong understanding of web authentication and authorization fundamentals.
• Deep expertise in building reliable enterprise-grade software using a type-safe language and Java.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical strategy for the Identity Security Fabric and prioritize standards.
• Govern and monitor agentic behavior across fullstack ecosystems.
• Architect for a scalable, secure agent identity platform and 'Shadow AI' risk controls.
• Enforce least privilege access and manage short-lived credentials for agents.
• Drive AI-native development practices and improve CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product/Design to align outcomes with customer needs.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the team.
