Job summary

Myticas Consulting Inc. seeks a Staff Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and test mission-critical firmware for advanced embedded optical systems. This is a one-year contract based in Ottawa, Ontario.

You will design and implement software for next-generation embedded platforms, review requirements, refine designs, and ensure maintainable code. Deep knowledge of multithreaded systems, OO design, and Python scripting will be essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with embedded software development experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
• Excellent object-oriented design and C++ programming skills.
• Deep understanding of multithreaded software systems and OS concepts.
• Knowledge of scripting language; Python preferred.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Git and Jira for version control and issue tracking.
• Experience with optical devices or related tech is an asset.
