Jobber is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to shape data integration at scale within the Data Platform Team. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture, and hands-on coding to build resilient data pipelines and governance across the organization.

You will lead cross-team initiatives, accelerate data access for analytics and product teams, and ensure data integrity while addressing technical debt and exploring new technologies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering with batch and real-time pipelines.
• Ability to design scalable lakehouse/warehouse solutions.
• Strong emphasis on reliability, observability, and governance.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Shape foundational data components and scalable pipelines across batch and real-time processing.
• Mentor and lead data engineers, driving engineering quality and best practices.
• Establish testing, reliability standards, SLAs, and disaster recovery playbooks.
• Build observability, governance, logging, and data lineage to ensure trustable data.
• Develop self-service tools to empower analytics, data science, and engineering teams.
• Collaborate on strategic roadmaps and cross-team initiatives.
• Enable fast data exploration and secure data access for stakeholders.
