Purpose Unlimited is building the financial products infrastructure that prioritizes client outcomes. You will lead staff-level engineering to design scalable data foundations powering AI-enabled products, with a focus on fast, reliable systems in a regulated environment.

You will own architecture decisions, drive data modeling, APIs, and governance, and shape how AI augments development and production readiness across our platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals across databases, distributed systems, and algorithms.
• Ability to own systems from design through production.
• Experience integrating AI into scalable engineering workflows in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core data systems powering our products and AI-enabled apps.
• Define durable data models, APIs, events, contracts, system boundaries.
• Build shared primitives for reliable data access, search, synchronization, and observability.
• Make architectural choices across databases, streaming, caching, indexing, storage.
• Ensure correctness under failure: concurrency, idempotency, retries, migrations.
• Lead how AI is integrated into engineering workflows and governance of AI-generated code.
