Job summary

Purpose Unlimited is building the financial products infrastructure that prioritizes client outcomes. You will lead staff-level engineering to design scalable data foundations powering AI-enabled products, with a focus on fast, reliable systems in a regulated environment.

You will own architecture decisions, drive data modeling, APIs, and governance, and shape how AI augments development and production readiness across our platforms.

Qualifications

Strong CS fundamentals across databases, distributed systems, and algorithms.
Ability to own systems from design through production.
Experience integrating AI into scalable engineering workflows in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Design and build core data systems powering our products and AI-enabled apps.
Define durable data models, APIs, events, contracts, system boundaries.
Build shared primitives for reliable data access, search, synchronization, and observability.
Make architectural choices across databases, streaming, caching, indexing, storage.
Ensure correctness under failure: concurrency, idempotency, retries, migrations.
Lead how AI is integrated into engineering workflows and governance of AI-generated code.
