The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the financial reporting and accounting functions of the firm, supporting fund accounting, financial analysis, and operational processes. This position offers an opportunity to gain exposure to private equity fund structures, investor reporting, and financial controls within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely and accurate postings.
• Assist with fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, and allocations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, investment accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for investors.
• Support fund audits and work with external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
• Help track and reconcile capital contributions and distributions to investors.
• Assist with waterfall calculations and carried interest allocations.

Operational Support:

• Work closely with investment and operations teams to provide financial insights.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in private equity, asset management, or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with fund accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Investran) is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
