Job summary

West Vancouver Schools seeks a Teacher Assistant – Library for Sentinel Secondary for a temporary assignment from November 16, 2026, to June 29, 2027. The role is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays 26.93 CAD per hour plus 16% in lieu of benefits.

Reporting to the Principal/Designate, you will process borrowers' requests, help users locate materials, and support staff in various library tasks, utilizing both computerized and manual systems.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Graduation.
• Experience in a library dealing with bibliographic data and library software.
• Working knowledge of office procedures and standard office equipment.
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication (oral) skills.
• Minimum keyboarding speed of 40 wpm.
• Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
