About the Position

The Canada Sales Team is looking for a Sr. Value Channel/Corporate Sales Representative to join our team at our Canada Headquarters in London, Ontario, or Vaughan Toronto Showroom.

Reporting to the National Sales Director, Apparel, this role manages all sales functions for the Value Channel volume accounts and designated Corporate accounts to ensure profitable growth according to sales projections. Responsibilities include account financial planning, assortment planning, developing and implementing special make-up and closeout sales plans, coordinating product showings, and order management.

How You’ll Make a Difference
  1. Manage all sales aspects for the Value and Corporate Channel accounts by developing and implementing sales strategies that promote the sell-in and sell-through of Columbia products.
  2. Process and monitor orders from entry through shipping.
  3. Negotiate close-out prices with key accounts to maximize sales and profitability.
  4. Coordinate with Columbia departments on product presentations and technical details.
  5. Oversee requests for special product makes in collaboration with the Merchandise team and the Sales Director.
  6. Work with the Sales Director and Finance team to meet financial goals.
  7. Review sales data and account management strategies regularly with the sales management team.
You Are
  • Able to maintain positive communication with all management, staff, and departments.
  • Knowledgeable in Value Channel, Corporate Channel, Outdoor Industry, sales strategies, prospecting, territory planning, forecasting, and closing techniques.
  • Able to analyze market conditions and respond with appropriate strategies.
  • Experienced with proprietary, private, and confidential information.
You Have
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the outdoor industry.
  • Extensive computer experience, including exposure to CRT systems.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and attend evening/weekend meetings.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, including overnight trips.
